We're a Sydney-based animation duo and we love gay cartoons!
Our main goal for this project was to be able to tell a queer story that was fun and cartoony. We want to show that queer stories don't always have to be about tragedy and alienation. These sillier and raunchier queer stories can still speak to an authentic experience of queerness.
We also wanted to create female characters that were allowed to be gross, loud and exaggerated. ​

I'm Shayla Nguyen, a Vietnamese-Aussie 2D animator!

I'm a '24 Honours Animation graduate at the University Technology of Sydney, specialising in 2D animation (Clean-Up, Rough Animation & Layout).​
My skills further include storyboarding, 2D rigged animation and compositing, with experience working in Toon Boom Harmony, After Effects and Premiere. I have 3 years of previous freelance experience working with remote indie studios such as BoldBird Studios and KittenSneeze Productions.

My deep passion and directorial sense of visual storytelling has always come from my love for cartoons, adult animation and film. Through my work, I aim to create fun and profoundly relatable stories!

I'm Lucy Bubalo, an Illustrator & 2D animator from Sydney!
​
I'm a recent Honours graduate from UTS that specialises in illustration and 2D animation.
My skill areas centre around character design and concept art where I can iterate quickly and with tonnes of variety. I have plenty of experience in Photoshop, Toonboom Harmony, After Effects and Premiere. As a freelancer, I have worked with clients like Chuggmusic to create assets for music videos and promotional material.
I’m a filthy film nerd and I draw most of my inspiration from Cronenberg films and horror B-movies.
